The County of Riverside Department of Environmental Health offers a wide range of services listed below:

District Environmental Service (DES)
Handles Food Worker Cards, Food, Pools and Spas, Temporary Events, Vector Control, Mobilehome Parks, Organized Camps and Tobacco Retailers

Environmental Protection and Oversight (EPO)  
Handles Hazardous Materials, Land Use, Water Systems, Underground Storage Tanks, Solid Waste and Business Emergency Plans

offices are open Monday through Thursday from 7:00am to 5:00pm and closed on Fridays.

COTTAGE FOOD LEGISLATION INFORMATION (1-1-13)

Governor Brown has signed AB 1616(California's Homemade Food Act) and the effective date is January 1, 2013.  The new law refers to a Cottage Food Operation as an enterprise at a private home where low-risk food products are prepared or packaged for public consumption.  Our Department is working with the California Department of Public Health and other counties across the State for a smooth implementation in Riverside County.  More information will be posted as available.
