The mission of the Department of Environmental Health is to enhance the quality of life in Riverside County by implementation of effective and efficient environmental health programs to protect the public health, safety and the environment.
The County of Riverside Department of Environmental Health offers a wide range of services. The Department is divided into two divisions:
District Environmental Service (DES)
This Division handles Food Worker Cards, Food, Pools and Spas, Temporary Events, Vector Control, Mobilehome Parks, Organized Camps and Tobacco Retailers
Environmental Protection and Oversight (EPO)
This Division handles Hazardous Materials, Land Use, Water Systems, Underground Storage Tanks, Solid Waste and Business Emergency Plans
OFFICE HOURS: All Environmental Health offices are open Monday through Thursday from 7:00am to 5:30pm and closed on Fridays.
